Whether the site is open to non-Tesla vehicles has varied. Some listings, including the ChargeHub entry for the station, describe it as open to NACS-enabled vehicles with an adapter, while others show it as Tesla-only. If you drive a non-Tesla EV, confirm in the Tesla app before you count on it.
The location is convenient. While your car charges, you can walk to the beach at the Chance a La Mer approach, browse the shops along Point Brown Avenue, or visit the Ocean Shores Visitor Center next door.
DC fast charging at the Ocean Shores Public Library
The biggest news for non-Tesla drivers is the fast-charging site that opened in May 2026 in the side parking lot of the Ocean Shores Public Library at 573 Point Brown Ave NW. According to The Daily World, the site has three 100 kW DC fast chargers with CCS ports, operated by EVCS. Grays Harbor Talk reports six individual ports across those three units, funded through Washington’s Climate Commitment Act at no cost to local taxpayers.
A 100 kW charger will not match a highway Supercharger, but it is fast enough to add meaningful range over a coffee or a library visit. Grays Harbor Talk quotes the project partners as expecting roughly 75 miles of range in a 15-minute session, depending on the vehicle.
To charge, use the EVCS app or scan the QR code on the charger to start a pay-as-you-go session without an account. The connectors are CCS, so a Tesla or another NACS-port vehicle will need a CCS adapter.
Level 2 charging at Quinault Beach Resort & Casino
Quinault Beach Resort & Casino has ChargePoint charging stations right in front of the main hotel entrance at 78 State Route 115, on the way into town. The resort says the stations are available 24/7 and are started through the ChargePoint app, an RFID card, or tap-to-charge.
These are Level 2 chargers with J1772 connectors, which almost every EV can use directly and Teslas can use with the adapter that came with the car. The ChargeHub listing shows four ports and no charging fee at the time of writing. Level 2 adds range slowly, so this option works best if you plan to spend a few hours at the restaurants or casino, and the stalls can fill up on busy weekends.
Charging on the drive to Ocean Shores
Most visitors arrive on US-101 and State Route 8 through Olympia, then State Route 12 through Aberdeen and Hoquiam before the final stretch on State Route 109 and 115. The last big charging stops before the coast are in Olympia and Aberdeen.
