Wi-Fi & Entertainment
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included. Tidal House uses an enterprise-grade Wi-Fi system, and each chalet has its own access point. Chalets on the west side of the property can reach up to 400 Mbps; chalets on the east side typically reach 80–90 Mbps. Both ranges are suitable for remote work and Zoom or other video meetings. Actual speeds vary by device, simultaneous use, and connection conditions. The network and password are provided privately in your check-in instructions and are not published on this website. Smart TV & live programming are included. Chalets 2, 3, 9, and 10 also have a smart TV upstairs.
Parking
Park directly alongside your assigned chalet. Visitor and overflow parking is in the small parking strip on the south side of the property near the Grey Gull. If your assigned space is blocked, contact us rather than parking beside another chalet.
Traveling with a Dog?
Plan a dog-friendly beach outing, including the designated off-leash area.
- Please use the provided pet sheets near the entrance to cover the furniture if your dog insists on being on the furniture with you.
No. Dogs may not be left unattended in a chalet, including when crated, and they are not permitted on the beds.
Beach & Ocean Access

There are two ways to reach the beach from the property:
Option 1 — Walking Path (Recommended, ~7 min)
The best route starts near the Grey Gull to the south of the property. Walk west from Chalet 1, then take a left after the shed on the Grey Gull property. Stay to the right of the foliage and you’ll find a path — take a right on that path and it leads straight to the beach. You’ll know you’re on the right track when you spot the foliage tunnel.
Heads up: During wetter months this path can sometimes flood. If that’s the case, Option 2 may be your best bet!
Option 2 — Drive onto the Beach
Drive north for about a minute and turn left on W Chance A La Mer NW. This road provides direct beach access and you can drive right onto the sand.
Check-Out
Leave by 11:00 AM, close and lock the windows, turn off the heaters, and wash any dishes you used. Follow any additional current instructions sent with your reservation.

North Jetty
Walk out to the south end of the peninsula — great for watching waves, spotting wildlife, and sitting on driftwood.
Damon Point
A scenic walk along a narrow strip of land with water on both sides. Excellent for bird watching and whale spotting in season.
Beach Driving
Drive your vehicle right onto the beach at designated access points for a uniquely Pacific Northwest experience.
Bike & Moped Rentals
Rent an electric bike, pedal cart, or moped to cruise around town and along the shoreline. Look for Electric Bike Beach Rentals or Affordable Mopeds in town.

Questions during your stay
What are check-in and checkout times?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is by 11:00 AM.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. We welcome up to 2 dogs, subject to our current pet rules and fee. Cats and other pets are not permitted.
May I leave my dog alone in the chalet?
No. Dogs may not be left unattended in a chalet, including when crated, and they are not permitted on the beds.
May guests use the fireplace?
No. The fireplaces must not be used, and guests should not bring or burn fireplace logs.
Can we have a fire outside?
No. Fires are not allowed anywhere on site at Tidal House. Beach fires are permitted in designated areas when local rules and burn restrictions allow.
Is there a grill on site, or may guests bring one?
No. Tidal House does not provide grills, and guests may not bring or use grills anywhere on site.
How fast is the Wi-Fi, and can I use Zoom or work remotely?

What TV and streaming are available?
Every chalet has a smart TV in the living area. Chalets 2, 3, 9, and 10 also have a smart TV upstairs. The included streaming service offers live local and national programming, news, sports, and on-demand shows and movies. Available channels and titles can change.
Where do I check in? Is there a front desk?
Tidal House uses self check-in and does not have a front desk. Go directly to the chalet assigned in your reservation and use the private access instructions sent to you.
Can I arrive late?
Yes. Self check-in allows you to arrive after 3:00 PM, including later in the evening. Your access begins at the scheduled check-in time.
Can I request early check-in or late checkout?
You may ask, but approval depends on cleaning and same-day turnover needs and is never guaranteed. Please wait for explicit confirmation before changing your arrival or departure time.
Can I store luggage before check-in?
No. Tidal House does not have a front desk or luggage-storage area.
What should I do before checking out?
Leave by 11:00 AM, close and lock the windows, turn off the heaters, and wash any dishes you used. Follow any additional current instructions sent with your reservation.
When will I receive my door code?
Your assigned access details are sent privately with your check-in information. For security, door and lockbox codes are never published on this website.
What should I do if my door code or keypad does not work?
Call or text Tidal House immediately using the number in your reservation or on our Contact page. Tell us your name and assigned chalet, but do not post your code publicly.
Where should I park?
Park directly alongside your assigned chalet. Visitor and overflow parking is in the small parking strip on the south side of the property near the Grey Gull. If your assigned space is blocked, contact us rather than parking beside another chalet.
Where should guests put garbage?
Use the garbage cans outside your chalet. The property dumpster is not available for guest use.
Can I walk to the beach from Tidal House?
Yes. The walk takes about seven minutes: go south toward the Grey Gull, walk behind its maintenance shed, turn left, and then take the beach path on your right.
Is the walking path to the beach stroller-accessible?
The path is narrow and sandy, so it is not recommended for strollers. Driving to a designated beach access is usually easier.
Are parties allowed?
No. Parties are not permitted. Please keep noise low, especially after 10:00 PM, out of consideration for other guests and our neighbors.
Is smoking allowed on a chalet deck?
No. Smoking is not permitted on chalet decks, even when the door is closed.
What should I do about an urgent maintenance or cleanliness problem?
Call or text us immediately. For an active fire, medical emergency, or immediate danger, leave the unsafe area and call 911 first.
Where can someone with a gluten allergy eat nearby?
La Spiaggia publishes gluten-free options and handling practices, but no restaurant can guarantee safety for an individual allergy. Contact the restaurant directly to confirm its current allergen procedures before visiting.
